Boston cream pie is actually a dessert made with cake and cream. You can indulge yourself with the flavor of this rich, creamy treat—minus most of the calories—by making a martini cocktail that mimics the taste of Boston cream pie.

Edit Ingredients

Servings: 1

  • 1 oz (30ml) vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz (30ml) chocolate-flavored liqueur
  • 1 oz (30ml) Irish cream liqueur

Edit Steps

  1. Put the vanilla vodka, chocolate-flavored liqueur and Irish cream liqueur in your cocktail shaker.
  2. Cover and shake until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Chill the cocktail shaker for 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the drink into a chilled martini glass.
    • Make your Boston cream pie cocktail snazzy by drizzling a few tablespoons of chocolate syrup inside your martini glass before pouring the ingredients in the glass.

Edit Tips

  • Boston cream pie may not taste the same to everyone, so try experimenting with a variety of cream liqueurs, such as Crème de Cacao, until you get the flavor that is most appealing to you.
  • If you don't have time to chill the cocktail for 30 minutes, you can fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice and shake the ingredients for several minutes.
  • This is a great cocktail to make in large quantities for a party. To make enough for a small group of people, multiply the ingredients by the number of drinks you want to make, pour them into a large pitcher and stir until well mixed. Store it in your fridge for a couple of hours before serving. You can also add some ice to the pitcher, but remember that the ice will dilute the cocktail once it melts.

Edit Warnings

  • While it is true that lower proof vodka has fewer calories, it is still alcohol and can cause impairment of judgment.
  • Always drink responsibly.

Edit Things You'll Need

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer (optional)
  • Martini glass
