Edit Steps

  1. Start off with checking if you have the right origami paper. Make sure that the sheet is double sided. Two sheets are shown to represent the front and back.

  2. Face the green side towards you.

  3. Fold one corner to the other.

  4. Crease the end parallel to the corner.

  5. Take one corner on the creased side and fold it to the other corner on the same side.

  6. Crease the sides.

  7. Lift one side of the triangle and open up the triangle so it creates a diamond-like shape.

  8. Fold the top of the diamond to the bottom. Crease the sides.

  9. Repeat the previous step. Remember to crease the sides.

  10. Turn the diamond-shaped origami paper around so that the opened folds are at the top and the closed corner is at the bottom.

  11. Fold one side of the diamond into the middle. Do the same for the parallel side.

  12. Unfold the kite-shaped origami paper. It should look like a diamond with the open ends at the top.

  13. Put your index finger into the open end and slightly lift up one of the corners.

  14. Fold the side corner inward. Do the same for the parallel side. Turn the folded origami to the other side and fold the side corners inward.

  15. Fold the side of the top of one corner of the kite-shaped origami towards the middle. Do the same for the parallel side, as well as the opposite side.

  16. Lift the top of the kite-shaped origami and fold it downward. Crease the fold. Repeat for all sides.

  17. Flip the origami to the side that is fully red with black dots.

  18. Fold the upper corner to the middle. Create a minor fold, not one that will extend to the side corner. Repeat for the other three sides.

  19. Fold two sides together so that the minor folds are inside and the leaves are at each corner.

  20. Blow into the hole that is at the top of the leaves.

  21. Refer to the image to see the final product.
