How to Make Layered Margarita Bites Feb 22nd 2013, 08:00 Enjoy this unique margarita dessert made with Jello gelatin. This recipe provides a nice way to intertwine Jello shots with margarita and tequila. Edit Ingredients 2 cups boiling water 2 (3 ounce/85g) packages margarita Jello gelatin 1/2 cup tequila or cold water 2 tablespoons lime juice 1 teaspoon lime zest 2 cups thawed whipped topping Edit Steps Combine the gelatin and boiling water together in a large bowl. Completely dissolve the gelatin by whisking the mixture for 2 minutes. Add the tequila (or cold water). Also add the lime juice, whipped topping, and zest. Stir everything until mixed thoroughly and the whipped topping is melted. Pour the mixture into an 8-inch (20cm) square pan. Place the pan in the refrigerator for 3 hours or until the Jello is firm. Use a plastic knife and cut the Jello into 36 pieces. Serve and enjoy.
