
As a child of the 1980s, I spent many a Saturday morning watching Scrooge McDuck dive into his pool of gold coins during the opening sequence of each "DuckTales" cartoon. Like most children, I had little concept of money – or of how painful that head-first jump would be (gold is hard, man!) – but I did realize that having an unlimited supply of it sounded awesome. Back then I wanted Scrooge McDuck-style money so I could buy every Barbie on the rack at Toys 'R' Us. Now that I'm an adult, my money fantasies have become more realistic: I just want be able to pay my bills and maybe afford a side of guacamole with my next burrito. Read more?
