FACT: 48 million Americans, including 16 million children, are at risk of going hungry—they don't know where their next meal is coming from. The reality is that there IS enough food in the world today for everyone to get the nourishment they need for a healthy and productive life. Hunger is a solvable problem. We can do something about it and make a huge impact in a very simple way.
What if all you had to do to make a change in the lives of people living near you was run? This fall, that's exactly what we're asking you to do. We've partnered with the FEED Foundation to help end hunger in the United States through our event, Run 10 Feed 10.
How It Works
Run a 10-K (6.2 miles) with Women's Health and you'll instantly provide 10 meals for those going hungry in your local and surrounding neighborhoods. You can join us at our New York City event on September 23, 2012, or take part in one of our 10 City Challenge fun runs (see below). If you don't live in one of those cities, you can still participate by signing up to run your own 10-K! The money from your registration and fundraising efforts will go to those in the metropolitan areas nearest to you. Bonus: All participants will get a limited-edition FEED bag!

Do Even More Good
Start a fundraising page in minutes on Crowdrise to raise additional money and feed even more people! You can share your page with friends and family in one click. We want everyone who participates to raise $100—that's just 10 of your friends donating $10 each! (We kind of like the number 10, don't we?) All of the money raised will benefit the FEED Foundation.
Training
Choose a 10-K training plan (beginner or intermediate), and start training 7 weeks before the New York City race or one of our 10 City Challenge fun runs

About the FEED Foundation
The FEED Foundation is truly dedicated to ending world hunger—one child at a time. Since the organization was co-founded by Lauren Bush Lauren in 2007, the FEED Foundation and its partner, FEED Projects, have provided over 60 million nutritious school meals—and with your help, they can provide millions more. The FEED Foundation partners with organizations such as the United Nations World Food Programme, UNICEF, DonorsChoose.org and local food banks to fight hunger and eliminate malnutrition by providing school meals, nutritional supplements, and education.
