How to Make Red Wine Jello Shots Feb 6th 2013, 12:00 Red wine combined with citrus gelatin makes a Jello shot that is reminiscent of red wine punch or even sangria. Try a sweeter varietal of red wine for a better flavor combination. A red table wine or a semisweet wine will deliver great taste in this Jello shot recipe. Edit Ingredients Servings: About 10 - 1 3-oz. (85 g) package lemon gelatin
- 1 3-oz. (85 g) package orange gelatin
- 2 cups water, boiling
- 4 oz. (120 ml) red wine
- Combine the lemon gelatin, orange gelatin and boiling water. Whisk the mixture until all of the gelatin dissolves.
- Add the red wine, whisking until well combined.
- Pour the shots into plastic shot glasses. Pour 2 ounces (60 milliliters) of the gelatin mixture per glass.
- Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours or until set.
- Look for some elegant plastic cups to serve your red wine Jello shots in. This will give your presentation a more sophisticated look.
- If you want to use a stronger wine, like a cabernet sauvignon, choose Jello with stronger flavors, like raspberry and blueberry, instead of lemon and orange.
