How to Make Bacon Vodka

For the bacon lovin' booze-artist, here comes a combination you can't turn aside. Bacon vodka anyone?

Edit Ingredients

  • 6 strips bacon
  • 1 liter bottle vodka

Edit Steps

  1. Place the cold bacon strips into the base of a skillet. Gently heat and cook until crispy.
  2. Remove the bacon from the heat. Place on paper towel to absorb excess grease. Allow to cool.
  3. Add the cooled bacon to a suitable size jar.
  4. Fill the jar with the vodka. If it doesn't all fit, don't worry; save the rest for another time. (Or drink it if you're feeling so inclined.)
  5. Seal the jar. Place in the refrigerator to infuse. Leave for one week.
  6. Remove the jar from the refrigerator after the week is up. Pour the vodka through a strainer to catch the bacon, into a clean glass bowl. Keep straining until it doesn't have any pieces of bacon in it.
  7. Pour into the storage bottle. Keep stored in the refrigerator.
  8. Enjoy! Serve with ice or as part of a drink biased toward bacon flavors.
