Fortunately, you can get rid of them permanently––here's what to do. - Log on to Facebook. Go to the upper right hand corner and click on the down arrow located beside 'Home'.
- Click on Privacy Settings.
- Beside the 'Ads, Apps, and Websites' section, click on Edit Settings.

- Read the warning that comes up. If you use Facebook to sign in to various websites, you will not want to turn off the platform. On the other hand, if you don't want to access other sites using Facebook, click on Turn off Platform.

- You do have the option to use Twitter to sign into various websites. Usually where one is used, the other is used. However, that isn't always the case.
