How to Make Apple Fritters Sep 25th 2012, 02:00 Apple slices are dressed up by macerating them in a bit of brandy before glazing them in a chafing dish. If a chafing dish is not available, cook the apple slices over medium heat in an electric skillet. Edit Ingredients - 4 apples, cored and thinly sliced
- Brandy
- Lemon juice
- Sugar, to taste
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Powdered sugar (icing sugar), to taste
- Cinnamon, to taste
- Thinly slice the apples and place them in a non-reactive bowl.
- Add brandy, lemon juice and sugar to a small bowl.
- Mix ingredients together.
- Check seasonings and add more brandy, lemon juice or sugar, as needed.
- Pour over apple slices and let macerate for approximately 1 hour.
- Melt butter in chafing dish.
- Saute apple slices and then dust with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
- Serve hot.
